What is KAIGO Program's duration?
KAIGO Program is made for family caregivers and therefore, it is designed with flexibility in mind. With a hybrid structure of physical sessions & self-paced e-learning platform, you will have up to 12 months to complete the entire program.
What do independent care & dependent care sessions focus on?
Independent care focuses on preventive care and rehabilitation approaches to support mobility and daily living. Dependent care, focuses on caring for the elderly who require higher levels of assistance; to support them to regain their independence where possible.
Where will KAIGO Program be held?
The KAIGO Program will be held in Petaling Jaya or Kajang, Selangor.
Is KAIGO Program held in other states?
For now, our physical sessions are primarily based in Petaling Jaya or Kajang, Selangor. Nonetheless, with our hybrid learning structure & flexible scheduling, you can begin your learning journey from anywhere in Malaysia.
Are there exams in KAIGO Program?
KAIGO uses progressive check-ins to support your learning which includes: 12 online MCQ assessments 7 video assignments The focus is on helping you remember and apply what you’ve learned, building real confidence in caregiving.
Which ministry is KAIGO Program recognized under?
KAIGO is a vocational caregiving certification recognized under the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR).
Can KAIGO certificate be used in a care center license application?
Yes. The KAIGO certificate can support applications related to care center licensing under JKM (Department of Social Welfare 福利部).
Is KAIGO Certificate recognized in other countries?
Yes, for individuals who wish to explore caregiving opportunities in other countries e.g. Japan, the KAIGO certification serves as a strong foundation. However, each country may have its own entry requirements and certification standards.
